Genoa hosts Atalanta in a match from the third round of the Italian Serie A. Stay with us, because
we are going to take a good look on this match at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris during our
football tips tonight.
Genoa started the new season pretty well. Il Grifone are currently fifth in the league standings with
four points won and a record of one win and one draw. They started the campaign with an exciting
draw against Roma at the Olimpico, before securing their first win for the season against Fiorentina
at home.
It was a really good performance against Fiorentina before the international break. Aurelio
Andreazzoli’s team made a solid performance against La Viola and enjoyed a 2-1 win – its first for
the campaign.
The centre back Cristian Zapata opened the score for Il Grifone, while Christian Kouame doubled
the hosts’ lead. Fiftheen minutes before the end Eric Pulgar scored for Fiorentina from a penalty
kick, but until the end the visitors failed to score an equalising goal.
Atalanta started the season pretty good with a win away from home against SPAL, but in the
second round La Dea suffered its first loss for the campaing. Gian Piero Gasperini’s boys hosted
Torino at the Stadio Ennio Tardini and conceded a 2-3 defeat. The Colombian striker Daniel Zapata
showed his quality and scored a brace for the hosts, but Torino managed to score one more and
take the win home.
Just few days after the visit to Genoa, Atalanta will play their first game in the Champions League
group stage. La Dea will visit the Croatian champion Dinamo Zagreb. It’s going to be curious to see
if Gian Piero Gasperini is going to keep some of his starters for the visit to Zagreb.
That’s our football tips tonight for the Serie A fixture between Genoa and Atalanta. Good luck,
friends.
