It’s going to be interesting at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi on Sunday, because the
newcomers Hellas Verona host Milan in a match from the third round of the Serie A. We will try to
examine this fixture in the beautiful city of Verona in our free football betting tips for the weekend.
Hellas Verona can be happy with the way they started the new season. The Gialloblu kicked off
their campaign with a draw against Bologna at home, which was followed by a win on the road
against another one of the newcomers Lecce.
Hellas Verona had a little bit of luck to win in Lecce as well. Their winning goal for the 1-0 win at
the Stadio Comunale Via del Mare was scored just 9 minutes before the end. The substitute
Matteo Pessina recieved a ball from Mattia Zaccagni and put the ball in the net, beating Lecce’s
goalkeeper Gabriel.
In the same time Milan redeemed themselves after the loss against Udinese in the first round. In
the second round the Rossoneri hosted Brescia at the San Siro and enjoyed a 1-0 win. Marco
Giampaolo’s boys opened the score in the beginning of the game, when the Turkish international
Hakan Calhanoglu scored the winner after an assist from Suso.
It was a first win for Milan’s new manager Marco Giampaolo. He will have the difficult task to return
the Rossoneri to the Champions League. It won’t be easy, but Milan do not have any other choice –
they have to try the best they can in order to do it.
In our free football betting tips for the weekend we believe that Milan have good chances to win
against Hellas Verona, but the newcomers will fight back at their own ground. One thing is for sure
– if Milan want to play in the Champions League again, they must win games like this one.
